Whole Life Midwife: Whole Life Rising Book

Welcome to Whole Life Rising, a comprehensive, compassionate guide created for women navigating the complex transitions of midlife. Written by Dr. Samara Pottier-Taccetta, DNP, CNM, WHNP — founder of Whole Life Midwife — this book offers the knowledge, support, and empowerment you deserve as you move through teenage to young adult years. Yet many women are left without the information or support they need to feel vibrant, confident, and strong during this transition.

Expert Led Courses

Through expert-led modules, personalized visits, and advanced wellness testing, you’ll build the foundation to understand your body, balance hormones, support emotional wellness, strengthen metabolism, and cultivate confidence in your health. With an integrative, relational, and personalized approach, Whole Life Rising empowers young women with the tools to thrive — now and for the future.

Whole Life Care Philosophy

We are redefining early women's healthcare to build something revolutionary: Whole Life Care for Teens and Young Women. No rushed checkups. No confusion about changing bodies. No gaps between pediatric care and adult women's health. Just real, relational, personalized, expert-led health transformation — designed specifically for the critical early years of womanhood. Whole Life Rising offers holistic, science-backed, virtual care to guide young women through the key transitions of adolescence and young adulthood. We believe girls deserve education, empowerment, and connection — not just treatment

  • Hormonal Health Foundations: We help you understand and support your body's hormonal shifts during puberty, adolescence, and early adulthood. We address irregular periods, heavy or painful cycles, PMS/PMDD symptoms, early signs of PCOS, and early thyroid changes — helping you build a stable hormonal foundation for life.

  • Emotional and Mental Wellness: Whole body health includes emotional well-being. We support concerns like mood swings, anxiety, stress management, low energy, and body image struggles through education, emotional resilience tools, and when appropriate, referrals to trusted allied mental health professionals.

  • Early Metabolic and Nutritional Health: We screen for and manage early signs of metabolic issues like insulin resistance, nutrient deficiencies, unexplained fatigue, and digestive concerns. Through personalized nutrition, movement, and supplementation plans, we empower young women to nourish and energize their growing bodies.

  • Sexual Health and Body Autonomy: We support education on menstrual health, sexual wellness, consent, and personal advocacy. Through clear, empowering information and trusted resources, we help build confidence in body literacy, emotional safety, and decision-making about sexual health and relationships.
